Testing regularly gives you control of your health.

The Heart Panel Deluxe includes the following tests: CBC, CMP, Lipid Panel, HS-CRP, Urinalysis, TSH, Homocysteine, Creatinine Kinase CPK and HgA1c.

This test requires blood and urine samples.

Preparation: Fasting is recommended 12 hours before the test.

  • CBC Test | Complete Blood Count with Differential Test

CBC Test or Complete Blood Count With Differential is a test used to measure blood abnormalities, it is one of the most common tests used to monitor overall health status.

CBC measures certain blood cells such as Red Blood Cells, White Blood Cells, and Platelets and seeks to explain a variety of conditions and/or diseases such as Anemia, Leukemia, and infections -among others- and check symptoms such as fatigue, weakness or bruising.

  • CMP Test: Comprehensive Metabolic Panel

CMP Test or Comprehensive Metabolic Panel Blood Test is an initial broad screening tool used to evaluate organ function and electrolyte balance, it also aids in the determination of certain conditions such as diabetes, liver disease and kidney disease or for monitoring treatments related to liver and kidney.

CMP is usually ordered as part of a routine health check.

The CMP or Chem-14 includes tests for:

    • Liver function (ALP, ALT, AST, Bilirubin)

    • Kidney function (BUN, Creatinine)

    • Electrolytes and fluid balance (Sodium, Potassium, Carbon Dioxide, Chloride)

    • Proteins (Albumin, Total Protein)

    • Blood Sugar (Glucose)

    • Calcium

  • Lipid Panel Test / Cholesterol Panel Test

Lipid Panel Test measures fats and fatty substances which are used by your body as a source of energy. Lipids include cholesterol, triglycerides, high-density lipoprotein (HDL) and low-density lipoprotein (LDL). Lipids are found in your blood and stored in tissues.

High cholesterol usually has no signs or symptoms so the test helps in the evaluation of heart disease and also monitors existing conditions, genetic diseases and the effectiveness of certain treatments.

Lipid Panel Test includes: low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol, very low-density lipoprotein (VLDL) cholesterol, high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol, total cholesterol and triglycerides.

  • HS-CRP Test: High Sensitivity C-Reactive Protein Test

HS-CRP or High Sensitivity C-Reactive Protein test measures CRP Level in your blood, CRP is a protein that increases when there is inflammation in the body.

Because of its high sensitivity status this test can detect even mildly high levels of CRP associated with Atherosclerosis (narrowing or inflammation of the arteries of your heart) which can lead to heart disease and high blood pressure.

  • Urinalysis Test

The urinalysis test helps diagnose any urinary tract infections and other kidney conditions such as urinary bladder disease, kidney disease and diabetes.

UA is a common test that is done in 3 ways: visually, dipstick and microscopic and each check for different aspects, i.e.: change in color, acidity, concentration, protein, sugar, ketones, bilirubin, infection, occult blood, white and red blood cells, epithelial cells and others.

  • TSH Blood Test | Thyroid Function Blood Test

TSH Blood Test or Thyroid Function Blood Test measures the level of Thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH). The quantity of TSH has a direct impact on the levels of thyroid hormones causing either over-active thyroid or under-active thyroid regulating the thyroid gland is important because the thyroid produces several hormones which can stimulate or shut down certain processes in the body.

TSH Blood Test or Thyroid Function Blood Test helps detect hyperthyroidism whose symptoms may include: weight loss, rapid heart rate, nervousness, diarrhea, irregular menstrual periods and hypothyroidism whose symptoms are: weight gain, dry skin, constipation, tiredness, frequent menstrual periods.

  • Homocysteine Test

The Homocysteine Test checks for possible increased levels of the amino acid Homocysteine in the blood.

High levels of Homocysteine are related to coronary heart disease, stroke, Alzheimer’s and chronic illness.

People testing to assess risk for heart disease will often order other heart tests in conjunction with Homocysteine Test.

  • Creatine Kinase CPK Test or CK Test,

Creatine Kinase or CPK Test measures the enzyme Creatine Kinase (CK) levels in the blood.

Elevated CK levels may indicate myocarditis (Injury to your heart), heart attack, muscular dystrophy and other types of muscle damage and muscle disease.

Any condition that originates muscle damage can cause an increase in CK, for example: excessive exercise or inflammation of muscles.

  • Hemoglobin A1C Test

The Hemoglobin A1C Blood Test estimates the average glucose (sugar levels) over the past 120 days, it is used to screen for diabetes and track progress in diabetics management, it is considered the gold standard for measuring blood sugar,

The American Diabetes Association (ADA) has recommended testing twice a year for patients with stable blood sugar and quarterly for patients with poor blood sugar control. The test is recommended to diagnose Pre-Diabetes, type 1 Diabetes and type 2 Diabetes.
