Insulin Response to Glucose, 3 Specimens - The insulin response to glucose infusion is useful in evaluating patients with low sugar ( glucose) in the blood or hypoglycemia and suspected insulin-resistance.

At the lab patient will be drawn 3 times: First draw, ingest 75g of glucose, second draw an hour after ingesting the glucose, third draw 2 hours after ingesting the glucose.

Preparation: Fasting is required for 12 hours before the test .
